Dr Monique Schmidt

Research fellow in Life Cycle Assessment and Building Valuation

Biography

Dr. Monique Schmidt has a background in Architecture and Environmental Design and Engineering. Her main areas of expertise are life cycle assessment, embodied energy and greenhouse gas emissions and sustainability.

She completed her PhD at The Unversity of Melbourne's Melbourne School of Design through the Integrated Carbon Metrics Project with the CRC for Low Carbon Living. Her PhD included developing a framework for integrating life cycle environmental and economic assessment of buildings.

Monique is currently a Research Fellow at the Melbourne School of Design and is exploring ways to not only assess a buildings greenhouse gas emissions from a life cycle perspective, but also to integrate this from an economic valuation perspective.
