Dr Haifeng Zhao

Research Fellow

Dr Haifeng Zhao has a background in Civil Engineering, Road and Railway Engineering, and Geomatics, with extensive experience in software development, optimisation, agent-based modelling and simulation. His PhD in Geomatics at the University of Melbourne investigated the role of spatial information in evacuation planning and addressed the uncertainty of planning with outdating information using context-awareness and peer-to-peer data sharing. Haifeng's research currently focuses on agent-based simulation, machine learning and spatial analysis to investigate the effects of innovative transportation modes on the health of residents of cities and to improve the design of road infrastructures using artificial intelligence.
