Biography

Zahra is a Research Fellow in Urban Innovation at Melbourne Centre for Cities in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, The University of Melbourne. She has expertise in sustainable and resilient urban planning and design.

Zahra has been engaged in research and training activities over the past ten years internationally and in Australia. As an urban analyst and designer, she has also been involved in a series of highly sensitive urban planning and design projects. Zahra received her Master's in Environmental Design Engineering in 2014, and she is currently a PhD candidate at the Centre for Spatial Data Infrastructure and Land Administration (CSDILA), the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, The University of Melbourne. Her research interests include urban analytics, community resilience and sustainability assessment, sustainable development goals (SDGs), spatial statistics, spatial modeling, machine learning, and science & technology.
