2024 - Digital Design and Fabrication Electives Offerings

The suite of electives offered in 2024 in Digital Design and Fabrication DDF will include DF_Lab: Designing Making (ABPL90378), which concentrates on techniques and technologies for Digital Fabrication. Students have the opportunity to use Robots for the development and fabrication of their designs in the R_Lab: Made by Robots (ABPL90412). In SI_LAB: Spatial Information (ABPL90422) students learn and use 3D Scanning and Extended Reality. In addition, two subjects are offered which focus on the design of furniture, though with very different approaches. The Ex_Lab: Experimental Furniture Futures (ABPL90361) includes the exploration and experimentation with various materials while in the F_Lab: Bespoke Furnitures (ABPL90222 - Requires portfolio submission) students spend most of their time in the wood workshop pushing the limits of timber as a material for furniture design.

All subjects are open for students from the Faculty of ABP enrolled in the Master of Architecture or the Master of Landscape Architecture, as well as students studying any double masters that involves architecture.
