Editing your audio files

If recorded correctly, short audio files don't usually need much editing. Longer podcasts will usually do require editing as the odds of making no mistakes or having perfect audio levels, especially in a conversation, are low. The possibility of editing the final recording can also be a consideration  when determining how to set up the recording.

The following video series will make use of the program Audacity, which is free to download and use for both Windows and Mac. The videos will cover some basic Audacity functionalities that should allow most people to produce high-quality audio files and podcast episodes.
