Call for Abstracts: AMPS Transformative Teaching Conference

AMPS (Architecture, Media, Politics, Society) is an international, interdisciplinary research organisation that brings together people from different disciplines who find their points of contact in the places we inhabit, how we teach, and how we interpret the world around us.

This 15-17 November, AMPS is hosting a virtual international conference on Transformative Teaching in partnership with the following partner institutions: Florida State University, University of Dundee and Zayed University. Abstracts are due 5 October, and full papers are not due until January 2023. More information can be found here.

The call for abstracts states:

"The premise of the conference and its publications with Routledge is that this is a useful moment for reflection across disciplines.  We are beginning to move beyond the pandemic and its focus on online teaching. As such, we need to re-highlight multifaceted considerations of what we do in our different disciplines: how we teach, how students learn, and how we engage beyond the academy’s walls. In exploring these ideas, this conference welcomes delegates from various fields: Art & Design, Social Sciences and Environmental Sciences. Presentations are welcome on a range of related issues – from skills building, creative exploration and personal development, to critical thinking, external engagement, post-education employment, and more."
