Technology Enhanced Learning: ePortfolio Boot Camp

The Melbourne Centre for the Study of Higher Education (Melbourne CSHE) is hosting a series of Technology Enhanced Learning Boot Camps over the next few months.

The Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Boot Camps are week-long professional development activities that explore different aspects of TEL through four different modes, including reading guides, webinars, expert panels, and interactive online workshops. The Boot Camps provide a mix of foundational theory and practical application of TEL and aim to kick-start participant projects relevant to their own courses. They are suitable for academic and professional staff at the University of Melbourne who are interested in various aspects of technology-enhanced learning. The upcoming TEL Boot Camp will focus on ePortolios.

In the words of the organisers, "the ePortfolio Boot Camp will explore the application of ePortfolios in teaching and learning. Concepts and example applications will be outlined in a pre-reading guide, an introductory Webinar, and illustrated by a Webinar panel of expert practitioners. This will be followed by a workshop where participants will design and share TLAs and assessments that integrate ePortfolios into their courses for their students with a focus on enabling student-generated projects and collaboration using their own mobile devices".

The program schedule is listed below:

  • Pre reading-guide
  • Intro webinar (Monday 18 July, 10 am-11 am)
  • Webinar panel of expert practitioners (Tuesday 19 July, 10 am-11 am)
  • Interactive online workshop (Wednesday 20 July, 10 am-12 am)
