Celebrating Great Teaching
Celebrating Great Teaching
Overview
On this page, and the tabs below, we celebrate and share some fantastic work by ABP colleagues. (We are also keen to learn about your emerging ideas and solutions).
The My Online Teaching tab refers to the Steps for Moving Online, and ABP’s online criteria and provides some great examples of ABP Canvas sites. It includes videos from colleagues who discuss some of these challenges in detail, and the ways these have been addressed in their own subjects.
The My Setup tab includes videos showing the use of equipment and software for developing online learning materials when working off-campus. Examples include some great workarounds, and some fantastic outcomes that will likely live beyond our current COVID-19 related challenges. For your own great setup online, also consider our Delivering Content page, which contains ABP-specific advice on how to deliver your content online, and our Learning Technologies, which outlines some digital learning tools to consider when setting up your Canvas.
The My Guide to… tab includes videos and also PDF guides and resources that ABP colleagues have developed to help in the move online. Very generously shared … many thanks!
We are looking forward to sharing more great ABP approaches to moving online for all to learn from. We are hunting videos and other resources that capture the creative and valuable approaches to teaching that you are developing from your own off-campus setup. Please do share your approaches and learning by saving the media file/s into in a (shareable) OneDrive folder and email a link to abp-belt@unimelb.edu.au with the subject line My Move Online. If your videos include students, or examples of their work, please seek permission from the student/s by email or using this release form. We also recommend removing student names and student numbers to protect their privacy. We are very much looking forward to sharing more great approaches.

We are also reaching out to ask you to share your own approaches to ‘moving online’. Have you found some new tools useful in your own move online? Are you finding new ways to consider your subject and its content are needed for this new online environment? Have you developed an excellent combination of phone, laptop and ironing board that could help others?
Please share your discoveries by saving videos, PDFs or other media file/s into in a (shareable) OneDrive folder, and email a link to abp-belt@unimelb.edu.au with the subject line My Move Online.
