H5P in Canvas

Logging in to H5P

The University of Melbourne has a faculty-wide subscription to the H5P service and  can be used without the need for application. Staff members are able to host a H5P library & account using their staff username. To log into H5P as a staff member enter your unimelb username followed by @unimelb.edu.au.

Example;

This will prompt you through to the university gate where you will have to verify your log in details.

Getting to know H5P

Getting Started

Once logged in, you will be introduced to the main interface where users are able to create new folders, content, share files and update account details. All applications created in this 'library' are linked to your university Canvas account and any content created here is able to be embedded within Canvas pages.

Adding Content

To add content within the H5P library click on the Add Content button. This will show a list of applications that can be used to create deliverable content.

Viewing and Editing Content

Once content has been created, you now have a choice to 'View' or 'Edit' this content in the top toolbar.

View allows you to interact and navigate with the scenes and test the user experience. While 'Edit' allows you to keep adding to and developing this content.
