ABP Staff Induction Sessions

With the new semester upon us, the Built Environments Learning and Teaching (BEL+T) group has developed two workshops for ABP teaching staff. Each workshop will run twice in Week 0 and Week 1 and will each require 30min of preparation and 60minute of synchronous interaction via Zoom. Sessional staff will be paid 1.5hrs per workshop (maximum 3hrs of participation).

The ABP Teaching Fundamentals is an online workshop for new staff, or for those who last completed the Sessional Induction over two years ago. As well as providing information about operational support for teaching and learning activities at ABP, this session will provide an overview of some key issues for 21st Century educators and their teaching practice.

Tuesday 23 February @10-11am OR Tuesday 2 March @4-5pm.

The ABP Teaching Online workshop is an online workshop for all staff that introduces issues and experiences of online teaching/learning, with supporting resources and guidance to use in teaching. This workshop will involve interacting with several online tools that you might use in your teaching.

Thursday 25 February @4-5pm OR Thursday 4 March @10-11am

Workshop registration (including Zoom links), preparation tasks, and general resources are available on the ABP Teaching Community Site. Staff with a UoM email address can self-enrol in the community. Staff with a UoM student or non-UoM email address (only while contracts are being finalised) should contact BEL+T at abp-belt@unimelb.edu.au for access.
