Call for Abstracts : ‘Re-appropriation and Representation’
The PhD by Design community at the University of Edinburgh, UK are holding a symposium on architectural research by design 30 October - 01 November 2020. The theme of the symposium is ‘Re-appropriation and Representation’, and by considering these two notions in design-led research they are looking to elaborate design as a mode of enquiry through a material object of your choice.
All participants will prepare and supply their chosen object, but also receive an object from another participant. Through which and under the likelihood of spatially isolated conditions, participants are invited to commune, in person or remotely, to discuss and re-present either completed pieces, research-in-progress, or studio pedagogy using whatever medium is most suitable. The deadline for abstract submissions is Friday 31 July.
