The next Project Evolve Roadshow will be held virtually via Zoom rooms at 2.00 pm on Wednesday 15 July 2020.

This Roadshow reflects the University now fully teaching and learning from the Canvas LMS. In a series of how-to breakout sessions, the focus will be on high-quality teaching and learning for online delivery. We will also offer specific Semester 2 support for both new and ongoing Canvas users.

Gregor Kennedy, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Teaching and Learning) will open the Roadshow with a brief address, followed by Patrick Stoddart, Senior Manager, Academic Systems & Digital Experience, Scholarly Services, who will provide an overview of the Roadshow.

There are five 20 minute breakout sessions available and each session will be repeated providing staff the opportunity to attend up to a maximum of two breakout sessions. The sessions will be led by members of the Learning Environments or Project Evolve team.

Sessions available are:

  1. Next steps for online learning delivery: Learn from our experts on providing quality learning design in your Canvas subjects following the Semester 1 2020 challenge of effectively and swiftly shifting face-to-face teaching to online.
  2. Exploring digital assessment tools: Take a closer look at the most popular digital assessment tools in Canvas.
  3. Tutor role support: Explore the tutor role in Canvas and its core functionality.
  4. Migration hyper-care: Get the information on migration to Canvas for your Semester 2 subjects, and take advantage of booking drop-ins and migration consultations.
  5. New users to Canvas: Brand new Canvas users can get an introductory overview of Canvas’s key functions and LTIs, and learn additional benefits of the LMS.
