BEL+T's DIA framework for teaching online has been shared by Distance Design Education

BEL+T are pleased to announce that our DIA framework, along with its DIAgram, has been shared by Distance Design Education.

BEL+T have developed a relational framework for moving learning and teaching online that is described above by our DIAgram. The framework and its representation focuses on Learning Engagement and Belonging as the foundational aims for the design of these activities, and the organised integration of Delivery + Interaction + Assessment as elements that support this.

ABP staff may be familiar with some elements of the above DIAgram through the Canvas uplift support BEL+T has been providing in semester 1 and 2, 2020.

'BEL+T designs a DIAgram … a relational framework for teaching online' outlines the processes behind the DIAgram has been published on the Distance Design Education site, which is available for you to read here. Distance Design Education has been set up to support design educators moving to distance and online teaching and is supported by the Design Research Society Pedagogy SIG and The Open University (UK) Design Group.

Further details, examples and tool guidance can be found via the BEL+T DeliveryInteractionAssessment pages.
