Kaltura video playback issue
We are aware of an issue with the Kaltura video platform playing via particular platforms connected to Canvas sites as of this morning, Tuesday 2 September.
Other playback platforms are not affected. This is a University-wide issue and Learning Environments is working with the company to resolve. Details are below.
Learning Environments have provided the following message, and will be including a message for all users in Canvas sites.
Please note we have been made aware there is currently an outage with Kaltura. You may experience issues with playback of content in Media Gallery and My Media in Canvas, along with content in MediaSpace. We are working with the vendor to have this resolved ASAP and will update you with any developments or further information into a resolution
We are waiting on advice regarding the timeframe for a resolution, however, please note that this issue is limited to Kaltura – Canvas is not experiencing any issues.
Other options for providing videos include Lecture Capture (information here), which is working without any problems. We will keep you updated, but please feel free to contact abp-belt@unimelb.edu.au if you need assistance with this.
