The CRADLE research group at Deakin University ran an online session this week that looked at higher education’s rapid shift to online teaching, learning and assessment and the myriad of opportunities and challenges this shift presents. The seminar considers how we can provide feedback in the online space and how to help our teachers understand what quality feedback actually looks like.

Specific discussion topics include:

  • the need to plan for cognitive scaffolding as an essential part of the online feedback process, as well as;
  • the way institutions have attempted to handle providing feedback in relation to online formal assessment in 2020.
