The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning is committed to the ongoing growth and development of an inclusive and positive environment for all staff and students which promotes and values equity and diversity. We will achieve this through the development, implementation and monitoring of strategies and policies which proactively address issues of social equity and diversity within the Faculty. These issues may include equal opportunity and freedom from unlawful discrimination, harassment and bullying in the learning and working environment for staff and students amongst others.
In helping us fulfil this mission we have created the role of Assistant Dean (Equal Opportunity). As our Assistant Dean (Equal Opportunity), Professor Piyush Tiwari will oversee the re-development of the Faculty’s Equal Opportunity Strategic Plan which outlines ways to continue to build a workplace culture which enables social inclusion and full participation of all staff and students.
Our Assistant Dean (Equal Opportunity) represents the Faculty on the University of Melbourne Network for Equal Opportunity, and liaises with the Fairness and Diversity Unit.
