  • PhD Colloquium

The SAHANZ PhD Colloquium 2020 is hosted by the Australian Centre for Architectural History and Urban and Cultural Heritage (ACAHUCH) within Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne.

Take the opportunity to hear about the latest research from graduate students in architectural history and urban and cultural heritage from across the Asia-Pacific region at the virtual SAHANZ PhD Colloquium 2020.

Each of the day’s three sessions will have presentations from graduate researchers followed by a panel discussion with academics discussing each presentation. Presenters come from institutions across Australia and abroad, whilst panellists include University of Melbourne academics and national and international academics who are experts in the panel fields. Presenters will have the opportunity to share their research with fellow postgraduates, and will gain critical feedback from mid-career and senior academics who are experts in a broad range of national and international historical and heritage fields.

For attendees, the Colloquium is a fantastic opportunity to hear about research in progress whether you’re considering or at the early stages of a graduate degree and/or would like to learn more about ongoing research in the built environment area. The event is part of the SAHANZ mission to foster quality graduate research.

The event will be hosted on Zoom and attendees are welcome to join for the entire day or drop-in for specific sessions. There will be an informal reception at 5.30PM (BYO tea).

Zoom links will be made available to registered attendees at least 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Colloquium.
