The role of the workplace was transformed by the COVID 19 pandemic. Homes substituted offices almost overnight. For firms and landlords, the potential that these changes may be permanent, challenges the conventional wisdom of bricks and mortar, CBD situated offices given the high cost of building and operating. What has been the impact on the rental and investment market for offices? How are property professionals addressing uncertainties in the market while valuing these assets? How does future pipeline for office property development look like? These questions will be discussed in a conversation between Piyush Tiwari and Michael Schuh.
About our presenter
Michael Schuh has 30 years of experience in a range of property markets across Queensland, Victoria and South Australia, and specialises in major institutional and mortgage security valuations in the commercial and retail sectors, market review advice / determinations, advisory/strategy services and expert witness reports. On a day to day basis he provides mentoring to staff undertaking commercial, industrial and retail valuations for mortgage security purposes across most price sectors. He sits on the API Development Valuation Advisory Committee for improving Australian development valuation standards and until 2018 sat on the RICS Australian Valuation Professional Group.
