Micro-libraries and other multi-programmatic spaces

SHAU/ Florian Heinzelmann and Daliana Suryawinata will share about their recent works featuring award-winning 'microlibraries' and other multi-programmatic public spaces in Indonesia. 'Microlibraries' have a mission: to increase reading interest by creating socially-performative community spaces with environmentally-conscious design and materials, which aim to serve low-income neighbourhoods. Microlibrary Warak Kayu is the latest addition to the collection, an example of SHAU's passive climate design, material and typology experimentation for the tropical context.
