MSD at HOME presents MSDx Winter 2020
For the first time, MSDx will be held as a virtual exhibition on an interactive multimedia platform, showcasing hundreds of pieces of studio work by our talented students.
MSDx illustrates the quality and diversity of output at the Melbourne School of Design, ranging from highly speculative propositions to more practice-oriented efforts, from small design interventions to large urban proposals and beyond.
The virtual experience will allow the viewer to explore each studio’s carefully curated digital exhibition spaces through interactive digital environments, videos, images, digital models, plans, virtual fly-throughs, renders and artworks.
Join us for the virtual opening night on Thursday 16 July from 6pm, featuring a live DJ set, concurrent chat rooms, speeches and commentary from design academics and industry figures, and competition announcements.

For the launch of MSDx Winter 2020, translate your design ingenuity to the runway and go into the draw to win a $250 Deliveroo gift card.
For the first time MSDx is being held as a virtual exhibition, and in celebration, we want to see your sartorial interpretations of our ‘MSDx Style’ theme: ‘Virtually Dressed’. Design it, sew it, render it or mock it up, let the geometries of Mies Van de Rohe, the futurism of Zaha Hadid and the embellishments of Frank Lloyd Wright shape your ideas.

This competition will be adjudicated by Professor Hélène Frichot, Director of the Bachelor of Design with two winners being announced on 17 July.

DJ's
SOJU GANG grew notoriety in the music scene as a club promoter and host, being found in Melbournes music hubs all over the city - finally solidifying her place behind the decks in 2017.
Since then, she’s had a big career, playing at festivals like Groovin the Moo, Listen Out, and Strawberry Fields, supporting artists like Leikeli47, Tera Kora, Joyryde and Charli XCX, along with multiple venues and events spanning diverse genres and communities.
ERIK & HUGH
Construction enthusiasts, Architectural fanatics, Freelance disco consultants, breakbeat superintendents, and chief executive officers of House. It is hard to pigeonhole both Erik and Hugh’s playing style into one convenient genre blending through, house, electro, techno, breakbeat, disco, Balearic, and anything else that feels right in the moment.
