Tectonic Grounds is an exploration of digital fabrication techniques, physical computing and rapid (laser-cut) 1:1 prototyping to deliver a 1:1 folly.

The subject has an emphasis on hands-on exploration of spatial and creative processes and challenges the role of drawing, making and constructing skills within today’s technology.

This installation uses skills learnt over a 2-week intensive to build an interactive structure.

This exhibition is part of Melbourne Design Week - an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
