The House Talks Back: Fooks Exhibition and Open House
A unique event, where the house of emigre architect Dr Ernest Fooks (1906–1985) becomes the location and part of a curated exhibition about his life and works.
The event will begin with an introduction to the former residence of Fooks, followed by the opportunity to explore an exhibition of the exemplary architect, designer, theorist and artist through material gathered from the archives of the State Library of Victoria, Melbourne University, Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning Library, RMIT Design Archives, The Jewish Museum and The Holocaust Museum. The exhibition is brought to you by Melbourne School of Design with contributions from MSD Students. The project is led by Professor Alan Pert and Professor Philip Goad.
Booking required. This event is part of Melbourne Design Week. Melbourne Design Week is an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.
