Funding for domestic students

FEE-HELP for domestic students on Masters programs

If you enrol in an Australian fee-place for your Masters program, and are eligible, the Australian Government's FEE-HELP loan program allows you to defer all or part of your tuition fees via a government loan, similar to the deferral of student contributions via HECS-HELP.

Where can I get more information?

Detailed information on FEE-HELP can be found on the Australian Government's Study Assist website.

Other ways to help fund your graduate studies

Graduate Access Melbourne

Graduate Access Melbourne provides entry to graduate study to local applicants whose personal circumstances have had a sustained adverse effect on their academic achievement at the undergraduate level, or who are members of a specified group known to be underrepresented in higher education. Graduate Access Melbourne ensures that more students continue to enjoy admission to graduate programs, regardless of their cultural or socio-economic backgrounds.

More information is available on the Graduate Access Melbourne website.

Scholarships

International students

The Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning recognises the costs to live and study at Melbourne can be a challenge. To assist talented international students, scholarships are available.

For further information, please refer to the University's Scholarships for International Students page which has information about Academic Merit Scholarships, Travelling Scholarships and other funding opportunities.

International Postgraduate Coursework Awards (IPCA)

IPCA scholarships are available each year to international applicants who have received an unconditional offer of a place in an MSD Masters program. The IPCA covers 50% fee remission for the duration of the program. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and a separate application is not necessary. You will be assessed for an IPCA as part of the standard application process.
