Dr Nikki Moodie (Gomeroi/Kamilaroi) is a Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne. Nikki's academic background is in political science and sociology, with a primary research focus on higher education, social capital and indigeneity. Current research projects attend to the politics of data production in Indigenous education policy, professional accreditation in the field of Indigenous studies, and the experiences of Indigenous research students in Australian universities. Prior to her move to the Faculty of Arts, Nikki was the Academic Convenor of the Hallmark Indigenous Research Initiative, Research Fellow in Indigenous Research, and Lecturer in Indigenous Education at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. Nikki is an Editor for Critical Race & Whiteness Studies, and Associate Editor for Higher Education Research & Development.
