Digital Fabrication Online Payment and Delivery Services

Digital Fabrication services are back in Semester 2!

The Fab Lab and NeXT Lab will be offering laser cutting and 3D printing services to students, with payment and delivery being managed online through the Shopify eCommerce service. Students can again use these services for model creation and form experimentation, and have their work delivered directly in a contact-free manner.

The updated service will run almost identically to how it has in the past but with a few new changes outlined below:

  1. Job submission will continue to be completed through the relevant Maker Spaces websites.
  1. Once the job/s have been completed, online payment and delivery options will be requested.
  1. Onsite pick-up and payment will not be available until the COVID-19 restrictions of the university are relaxed.
  1. Currently, the cost of delivery is expected to be borne by the student. Some classes may subsidise these costs. Please contact your tutor for more information.
  1. The types of jobs accepted will also be affected due to the nature of shipping. Overly large or fragile works may be subject to consultation or cancellation.
