What Electronics are available?

The Robotics Lab houses a selection of electronics, students are able to use within the Robotics Lab. However, students requiring electronics for longer than a day are required to purchase their own.

Electronics Available:

  • Arduino (Uno and Mega)
  • An assortment of Jumper Cables & Breadboards
  • A wide variety of Sensor's
  • Wire
  • Power Supplies
  • Servo Motors
  • Motor Drivers
  • Raspberry Pi's (must provide own microSD)


The Robotics Lab does not provide formal training for electronics use.


The electronics are accessible during weekdays while the Lab is open (9:30am - 5:00pm). Please see Robotics Lab staff to access the electronics. All electronic components must be kept within the Robotics Lab.

If you need to solder, please complete a soldering iron induction. Information on inductions can be found here.

How to Get Started

Please contact Robotics Lab staff via email to gain access to the electronics.


There is no cost to use the electronics.


Are robotics lab staff able to assist me with using the electronics?

Robotics Lab staff generally do not provide in-depth training and assistance electronics at this time. However, simple questions and advice can be offered.

Stop 1 provides enrolment and other support to Bachelor of Design, Bachelor of Environments and Melbourne School of Design students.
