'Melbourne Speaks' hands the microphone to academics from the Melbourne School of Design

Building on the success of the MSD at HOME talks series, a new program of talks, 'Melbourne Speaks' launches next week.

MSD at HOME has kept us connected to our friends internationally. Speakers have included Ricky Burdett, Shannon Mattern, Alejandro Zaera-Polo, Julia Watson, Verena von Beckerath, Jeff Kipnis, and many more.

MSD at HOME: Melbourne Speaks :: is our opportunity to come to you - featuring leading academics from the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning and Melbourne School of Design.  The series will launch with Professor Hélène FRICHOT, who will ask us to reconsider architectural practice from the frame of 'infrastructural love'.

Associate Dean (Engagement), Professor Donald Bates says, "As a consequence of our moving away from campus into an online, stay-at-home existence, we started the MSD at HOME webinar series of lectures, talks, conversations. It has become a great way to remain connected to our students and faculty community, as well as our larger local and international community."

Melbourne Speaks :: will present our senior academic and research faculty to our students, to our university and to the broader local and international community."

Speakers will come from the breadth of disciplines at the Melbourne School of Design – across architecture, construction, landscape architecture, property, urban and cultural heritage, urban design and urban planning.
