Dr Andrys Onsman
Dr Andrys Onsman is a Learning and Teaching Advisor in the Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning. He has previously held positions at the University of Nottingham and Monash University. He has published more than a hundred journal papers, conference papers and monographs, including the award winning Cross-Border Teaching and the Globalization of Higher Education: Problems of Funding, Curriculum Quality, and International Accreditation and his work has been cited more than 500 times. Dr Onsman also contributes opinion pieces and blogs to The Conversation in Australia and International Higher Education’s The World View internationally. He is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Higher Education Policy and Management, and is an active reviewer of papers and books. He is in great demand as a research higher degree examiner. He has an on-going and wide spread interest in creativity, expertise, mastery and artistry; doing and publishing research with musicians, scientists, poets, accountants, architects, pharmacists and urban planners, amongst others. He is especially interested in how such things may be taught. In the Faculty his aim is to lend support to all who wish to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their teaching and/or their research.
