Dr Hyung Min Kim
Dr. Hyung Min Kim is a Lecturer in Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne. Before he joined the University of Melbourne (2016), he worked for RMIT University (Australia), Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University (China) and Korea Appraisal Board (Korea). His teaching and research activities focus on economic and spatial dynamics of cities including globalisation and global cities, urban and environmental economics, liveability, healthy cities and the Asia-Pacific region. His research projects investigate urban implications of global activities such as Foreign Direct Investment, international students and international real estate investment.
He completed his PhD in the University of Melbourne supported by an Australian competitive scholarship ‘Endeavour Postgraduate Award’. His research findings appeared in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals including Cities, Habitat international, and Progress in Planning.
