Kyle Harvey is a Research Fellow on the ARC Linkage Project 'Migration, Cultural Diversity and Television: Reflecting Modern Australia', based between the University of Melbourne, University of Wollongong, Museum Victoria, and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
Kyle obtained his PhD from Macquarie University in 2012, where he wrote a thesis on anti-nuclear campaigning in the United States in the later Cold War period. At Macquarie between 2007 and 2016, he has taught world history, Australian history, historiography, and film history. He has also taught Australian Studies at the Western Sydney University College. He is the author of 'American Anti-Nuclear Activism, 1975-1990: The Challenge of Peace' (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), and several articles and book chapters on anti-nuclear protest and organising in Australia and the United States.
Kyle's major research interests are in social movements, radicalism, migration, and media in Australia, the U.S., and the broader Pacific region.
