Scott Woods

Scott Woods teaches architecture history, theory and design in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Melbourne at both graduate and undergraduate level. He obtained his professional degree in Architecture from the University of Tasmania and has worked with architecture offices internationally.

Since 2013 he has lead a graduate design studio at the Melbourne School of Design investigating the museum, its curatorial conditions and representations. His work with students within the design studio provides a context for the incubation and negotiation of interdisciplinary concerns governing museum futures.

Prior to his position as Academic Fellow in Architecture at the University of Melbourne he taught at the University of Sydney, RMIT University and Monash University. In the late 2000’s he was Co-Publisher and Creative Director of art, culture and design magazines headquartered in Sydney and London.

Scott Woods is a PhD candidate in the History and Theory of Architecture at the University of Melbourne.
