Split Fridge

Modular fridge compartments at the supermarket.

Split Fridge incorporates eskies which are used for the delivery of food. The units are simply slotted straight into the fridge. The eskies are re-usable, reducing packaging and allowing food to come directly from the farmer to a local shop or box delivery scheme with minimal handling. Energy savings are gained from the transportation and the storage phase of the lifecycle. The split access system, with the fridge divided into sections, means less energy is wasted through cold air escaping.
