Most of the $53 billion worth of food wasted every year in Australia is still edible.

Circular is a food Distribution System intended to provide services of delivering fresh, sustainable food for EBD individuals. The system is designed to reduce the amount of food waste through a combination of IT and product designs.

How Circular Works: For convenience, food is ordered online. Goods are delivered, via low-emission transport, to the communal cooler room. Residents take food from the cooler room to their Circular fridge – a small bench-top unit that alerts residents when food is approaching its use-by date. Circular provides a pick up service for unused and unwanted food & food waste. Depending on the quality and demand, this food is redistributed to EBD restaurants or taken for compost.
