Floline: Mobile Resource Network
Florence tramline now connects not only people and places but also communities and culture. The system transports food and waste as well as passengers.
The mobile market is available at tram stops, carried along the lines from nearby farmland. Organic waste is then transferred back for composting and bio-fuel production. The line itself is now a mobile resource space connecting previously separated locations and activities into a fluid and connected whole. The land around the tracks is used for water harvesting and storage as a resource for the wider community.
