FrekX

A commuter jacket for multiple transport modes.

Travelling without private cars will increase commuters’ exposure to the outdoors and climate.  It will also decrease the available storage space that travels with each driver in the form of a car-boot or footwells.  FrekX looks specifically at a typical uni student’s needs if they travel by public transport and bike.  The key considerations the design needed to meet were: sustainability in the material choice; suitability for poor weather conditions; built-in carrying capacity; visibility and safety for night-time travel; and ensuring desirability.
