TransEco

Transport & freight systems create satellite cities where once there were suburbs.

The TransEco tram runs on solar power, and is designed to pick up and transport rubbish as well as passengers in the suburb.  It is an interesting example of the potential for public transport to be multifunctional, especially during the under-utilised non-peak hour periods of the day and night.   Public transport’s potential to support smart, distributed systems of passenger and freight management has yet to fully explored, but the TransEco starts the discussion….”What if…?”
