Sunshine Exchange
Exchange: An urban farm, public market, and community centre.
Located just north of the city centre within the Albion triangle, the Sunshine Exchange reimagines the site as a community hub focused around food. The project comprises of three main elements: an urban farm, designed as a public food park that encourages food exchange; a public market for the trading of produce and goods; and a community centre focused on communication, exhibition and education. Above the ground floor retail and restaurant area is a modular market space and rooftop gardens, with the community centre running along the northern edge of the site. This project also rehabilitates Stony Creek as a resource to be enjoyed by the whole community.
