Jen Sheridan

Sustainable food systems researcher

Jen Sheridan is a sustainable food systems researcher and project communications and engagement manager. She comes from a journalism background, and her work has a focus on communicating research to effect change in the food system.

She has hosted her own radio show about growing food in Melbourne, co-founded Eat Drink Talk Think, a quarterly networking and conversation night about sustainable fair food, and helped establish the Youth Food Movement’s Melbourne chapter. Alongside her work at the University of Melbourne, she is also currently the Australian Communications Director for the Open Food Network, and an advisory board member for Farmer Incubator.

She has a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) and a Master of Environment (with Distinction) both from the University of Melbourne. Her Masters specialised in sustainable food systems, with her thesis exploring the role of civil society groups in sustainable food system advocacy in Victoria.
