Biography

Dr De Vecchi is an architect by training and holds a MSc and a PhD degrees in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC, Brazil. Her research expertise relates to indoor environmental quality, human thermal comfort (field and laboratory studies) and buildings energy efficiency. She is currently a researcher at the Brazilian Center for Energy Efficiency in Buildings (CB3E), working with the research group that develops the evaluation method for the Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings – PBE Edifica, Building's Labeling Program. At the Laboratory of Energy Efficiency in Buildings (LabEEE - UFSC), she is a postdoctoral fellow focused in thermal comfort in residential buildings. She is a collaborating architect at DUX Bioclimatic Architecture & Engineering office.
