Biography
Kurt Hofstetter, 1963, is a graduate of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna. As an employee of the City of Vienna, during the last 30 years he has been involved in various leadership functions concerning urban development and city planning, zoning and development planning and landscape planning for Vienna. From 2003 to 2015 he was significantly involved in the urban development of the Urban Lakeside “Seestadt Aspern” in Vienna. At the moment he is acting as head of the International Building Exhibition “IBA_Vienna – New Social Housing”, that will have its final presentation from June 22nd to November 18th in 2022.
Kurt Hofstetter, 1963, ist Absolvent der Universität für Bodenkultur in Wien. Er ist als Mitarbeiter der Stadt Wien seit 1991 in verschiedenen leitenden Funktionen mit Fragen der Stadtentwicklung und Stadtplanung befasst, u.a. mit Flächenwidmungs- und Bebauungsplanung sowie mit der Landschaftsplanung für Gesamtwien. Von 2003 bis 2015 war er maßgeblich an der städtebaulichen Entwicklung der Seestadt Aspern in Wien beteiligt. Zurzeit ist er mit der Leitung der Internationalen Bauausstellung „IBA_Wien 2022 - Neues soziales Wohnen“ befasst, die im Jahr 2022 ihre Schlusspräsentation veranstaltet.
