Brian Clohessy

Biography

Brian Clohessy is an architect and Head of People and Character at BVN, leading the development of the practice’s vision, strategy and structure for all things people-related. Prior to taking up this role, he was BVN Sydney Studio Director. His 20+ year career has covered a diverse spectrum and scale of award-winning work, most recently as Project Director of the Marrickville Library and Community Hub project.

Working with people and driving change within large architectural practices has led to his holistic approach to leadership. Brian fosters a caring and supportive culture, one where everyone within the collective has a sense of purpose and place. He has a special focus on learning and development, talent management, recruitment and people retention. He sees his role as maintaining BVN’s evolving culture based on human needs and aspirations, which inevitably improves the collective’s wellbeing.
