
To help achieve diversity and inclusion, we will oversee through the development, implementation and evaluation of the D&I Action Plan. The Action Plan is our commitment to advance diversity and inclusion goals in the faculty, as a post-COVID community, build on ABP’s already strong social fabric and continuing to shape a workplace and learning culture which enables social inclusion and full participation of all staff and students.
Our actions are guided by the ABP's Diversity & Inclusion goals:

Athena SWAN at the University of Melbourne
The University is proud to be a founding member of the SAGE (Science in Australia Gender Equity) initiative to commit to the principles of the Athena SWAN Charter. The Athena Swan accreditation process involves an intensive exploration of the state of gender equity and development of a 4-year action plan to address opportunities and challenges. The University of Melbourne was granted a Bronze Award – the first step in the Athena SWAN program accreditation process.
