Biography
Wei Yang is a Lecturer in Construction Management in the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning. She holds bachelor's and master's qualifications in Civil Engineering awarded by Hunan University (China) and has a PhD degree in building awarded by the National University of Singapore (NUS). Before joining The University of Melbourne, she was the program coordinator for Bachelor of Building Surveying in Victoria University.
Dr Yang has broad research expertise and interest in building energy efficiency, sustainable building design, building performance evaluation and life cycle assessment. She has over 70 peer-reviewed publications in the field of building and civil engineering. Her research output has gained national and international recognition as evidenced by the publications in leading journals, high citations and international awards. She receives a Scopus h-index of 20. Currently, she serves as the associate editor for Frontiers in Built Environment. She is on the topical advisory panel for the journal of Atmosphere. She was also invited to serve as the guest editor for a couple of special issues for several journals such as Sustainability, Energies, Frontiers in Energy Research, Energy Exploration and Exploitation.
