Biography

As a practitioner academic , Laura has been engaged in both commercial practice, as well as experimental design research and studio teaching in architecture and urban design for more than ten years.

The principal focus of her design research practice has been the relationship between cities and architectural design, through the lens of design process and digital experimentation. In practice Laura has used speculative design competitions as a vehicle for testing ideas, which have formed the basis of her studio teaching at the University of Melbourne
