Biography

Shuya is a Lecturer in Property. Her interests are the application of econometrics modelling and analysis in housing economics, housing price index methodology and climate transition risks. She is highly experienced in econometric modelling, data fusion and data analysis with large, longitudinal and administrative data, such as Australian property sales data and the Business Longitudinal Analysis Data Environment (BLADE).

Prior to joining the University of Melbourne, Shuya was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the e61 Institute. Shuya holds Masters's degrees in Applied Econometrics and Applied Finance and a PhD in Econometrics from Monash University. Her PhD thesis focuses on the use of microdata to answer macroeconomic questions with sophisticated econometric and statistical tools.
