Call for Abstracts - AMPS Conference: Contemporary Teaching in a Time of Change

The next Architecture Media Politics Society (AMPS) conference, Teaching in a Time of Change, will run 26 - 26 June, 2026 online and in-person, hosted by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain.
From the conference site:
"This conference examines the future of education globally from across varied disciplinary fields. It does in an era of unprecedent change: A worldwide pandemic that distanced the educator from the learner. The emergence of AI. The continued diversification of the student body. The decolonization of the curriculum. The incorporation of sustainability and resilience into our teaching – to name just a few of the issues at play."
"The Built Environments strand of this conference is interested in questions of all aspects of the design. construction and planning of our built environment as both subjects of academic research and as disciplines with innovative pedagogies to share. It is open to the full range of built environment disciplines including, but not limited to: building science, engineering, architecture, urban design, regional planning, landscape architecture and interior design."
The conference invites 250 word abstracts for 15-20 minute presentations and for 3,000 word papers, due Wednesday 10 December.
