Led by neurodivergent staff members, the UoM Neurodiversity Project aims to improve the experiences of all neurodivergent staff and students at the University of Melbourne through improving understanding, building community, connecting staff and students with support services, and conducting world-class neurodiversity-affirming research.

A key part of their mission is to support staff members at the University of Melbourne in the creation of inclusive teaching and learning experiences that will remove some of the barriers for our neurodivergent students (and that will most-likely support every student!)

On Thursday 30 May, the UoM Neurodiversity Project will be running their first ‘inclusive curriculum collaborative workshop’.  During this workshop, volunteer staff will work with volunteer neurodivergent students and our project team in a safe and collaborative environment to co-adapt their curricula to better support the full participation and belonging of their neurodivergent students.  Participating staff can nominate areas for feedback ahead of time.

If you would like to express your interest in joining this co-adaptation workshop as a teaching staff member or student, please complete this form and the UoM Neurodiversity Project team will contact you in early May.

And for further information on how you can remove some of the barriers for students in your classroom, please see BEL+T's Inclusive Teaching resources.
