World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability

The World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability (Climate Week 2022) offers an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of the impact of climate change and global warming in the global context. This conference, focusing on advancing the global efforts on climate transparency, is the foremost global forum for multilateral discussion of issues relating to climate change.

Climate Week 2022 will bring together a range of key actors from institutions, governments, cities and communities, the private sector, and civil society, including young minds, from all over the world, to make the world more climate resilient. This event will engage people from a range of professional backgrounds, including scientists, researchers, doctors, educators, policymakers, industrialists, students, academics, and social workers, and will provide a unique platform to hear from exceptional leaders in the field of climate change. The conference will focus on how to convey key climate issues, such as how quickly the Earth is barreling toward the 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) warming threshold set by the Paris Climate Accords in 2015.

This event provides a transdisciplinary platform for educators and academics to share their best practice curricular and pedagogical models to build climate literacy in Built Environment university learners. It is also a platform to ask questions about the role of higher education in the climate change movement.

If you are seeking to conduct a Scholarship of Learning and Teaching research project with a focus on ESD (Environmentally Sustainable Design) and the aforementioned themes, please do feel free to contact BEL+T. We would love to discuss potential venues, methods and collaboration opportunities.

Call for submission of abstracts for presentations/papers can be found on the World Conference for Climate Change & Sustainability website.
