Dr Gill Armstrong joins BEL+T
Welcome Gill Armstrong, a researcher & lecturer in the Built Environment, passionate about inclusive pedagogy and adaptive reuse of vacant buildings.
Gill joins us with a wealth of experience teaching across built environment courses in Australia (VIC & SA) and the UK. Gill's research has two strands:
1) Built environment education - Gill is a co-author on a new forthcoming publication with Routledge, Educational trends exposed - more to follow on this in early 2022. Gill is currently mapping female voices in built environment research across Australian universities using bibliometric analysis. She is also the pioneer behind #twittercritter.
2) Gill recently completed a mixed-method PhD examining adaptive reuse and ingrained perceptions of building regulation and vacancy in office buildings in Australian city centres, which can be accessed here.
Gill enjoys collaborating across all BE disciplines, and is an avid sewist.
