Screencasting

Screencasting is the practice of recording the content of a computer screen in real time. It typically includes audio—either from the computer itself or a live voiceover—as well as webcam footage of the presenter. While screencasts usually feature just these three elements (screen, audio, and webcam), more creative approaches can incorporate layered visuals such as multiple screens, logos, or other media. Screencasting is a highly dynamic medium and is widely used for instructional content and software training.
